Beliefs
We believe we all have a level of poverty because all have sinned.
We are motivated by a saving grace that has rescued us from death and decay. God’s Grace through his Son Jesus has shown us our own poverty and inadequacies and has filled us with joy to share. We believe only God’s love can bring about true restoration. His mercy allows us to be a part of His movement and we are exist to help bring glory to His Kingdom.
In our world today, people living in poverty get lumped into a faceless, nameless demographic - “the poor”.
Organizations set up programs, meals, and people can offer tax exempt offerings to help the poor. We see and empathize with the value in all these, however, just as our salvation has come through our relationship with Christ, we are relationally driven to form relationships and provide resources that can’t be measured.
Donating a large sum of money to feed the homeless from a suburban house with extra rooms and a long drive-way is wonderful, but we are convicted that is lacks a relational element.
We believe that being able to walk around the corner with a warm up of coffee and a smile demonstrates love and value as we understand God’s command to serve the least of these. Our aim is to reweave the fabric of urban neighborhoods by inviting “strategic neighbors” to move in.
We believe faith can be lived out wherever you live and we hope you’re experiencing the joys of relationships with whomever God has placed in your sphere of influence.
